Modern times bring with them expansion of cities and increase in population.The greatest positive of development in this area is responding to the need of housing developments near the biggest employer of the city which is Intel. With the arrival of Intel in Folsom in mid 1980s, this area grew rapidly. Young families, educated and energetic started to settle in and around Natoma Station dr. Also came economic activity and generation of employment to hundreds of people. The area is very close to highway 50, which is why those who commute to the other cities prefer to live here.
All this and more made this area a desirable living oasis for many couples and educated individauls.
